I duplicated the layer with the characters in it, shifted it slightly to the right, and in photoshop I went to layer>layer style>blending option and then for blend mode I selected Hue! Hope that helps!

Can I ask how you’re applying the purple/pink bleed you’ve got going on here? Are you doing one overall filter at the end, or is that some kind of layer treatment?
