2025-01-05 03:34:18 +0000 UTCJust some context about that shutdown they referred to. Their company, ABS-CBN, is the biggest media company in the country. They used to be able to air on free tv. But that requires a franchise from Congress. Their franchise was not renewed because of politics. They were forced to go off-air and that caused so many lay-offs, revenue losses, and even made it uncertain if the whole BINI project would push thru (because they hadn't launched yet at that time). Fortunately, Direk Lauren Dyogi and the management of ABS-CBN believed in the girls' potential and decided to push thru.
