Story Poll

Hello! I'm finally feeling better, and I've decided to start a new story to hopefully gain back some of the patrons I lost from being sick. There are two choices for this poll. Option 1, I can do a rewrite of The Surrogate - A Harry/Tonks story, you can still read the original here if you wan to see what it's about. This will be a shorter story, probably 5-6 chapters long. Option 2 is a whole new story called The Hero They Needed. This is an anti-hero Harry who grows up in America with Sirius and the Tonks'. Below is the Story Idea post I made a couple of days ago to give you a better idea of what it's about.

So, I've been working on this idea of an Americanized, anti-hero Harry coming to Hogwarts during the Triwizard Tournament. School starts at 18 in both England and America. After James and Lily are killed, Sirius arrives first and takes Harry away after a brief argument with Hagrid. He flees to Andromeda's house, where he begins to panic. Everyone thinks he was the Potters secret keeper and Pettigrew is no where to be seen. Andromeda calms him down and start to come up with different plans, one of which being going to America. By the next morning, Aurors are already looking for Sirius. When night falls and they hear the news about the Longbottoms, Andromeda and Ted make a decision. In the dead of night, they pack up and flee to America with Tonks and Harry.

Years later, Harry has grown up in Nevada. Growing up close to Tonks and with Sirius as his guardian he grows up much different than canon. At heart, he's a good person, but he's not above getting his hands dirty to get the job done. He's well liked among most of his peers, popular, and ridiculously good at magic. Despite Andi's best efforts, he's also a shameless rogue with a penchant for bedding witches, including her daughter.

At the start of his fourth year, they get bad news from the morning paper. Harry's name has come out of the Goblet of Fire, and he has no choice but to compete or lose his magic. Reluctantly, the family packs up to head home to Britain. Luckily, Newly minted Auror Tonks is tasked with keeping an eye on things and sending updates back to the American government.

Will Hogwarts be able to survive a cool, confident Harry with a no fucks given attitude? Or, perhaps the better question, how long until he kills Malfoy?

So, those are your two choices that you can vote for down below. The Surrogate will be more smut focused with some story, while The Hero They Needed will be a bit more story and a bit less smut, but much longer. I'll still be continuing 30 Days, A Friend in Need, and Thrown Back as usual, though 30 Days is nearing its end.
