The Estate - More Coming Soon

Working on my new game gave me some time to think about where the story and overall development was going, and I realized a lot of what shut down my inspiration was not really enjoying where the story was going.

During a conversation about The Estate in the Discord server last week, I started talking about what I would do with the game now that I have a little more experience under my belt, both in Twine design and in writing. This conversation quickly evolved into "What would I change about the story of The Estate?"

This reignited the spark.

I started thinking about everything I had messed up so far, facets of the story I didn't like, things that could be improved, how I could streamline Part 1, how I could solve the mischaracterization of Jeremy and Helena, how to make the nanites make more sense, on and on and on.

Within a few days, I had a skeleton of an outline for a complete revamp of the game's story. This new idea gets through the beginning of the game *much* faster, and drastically simplifies a lot of the events. That outline, covering what would have been Part 1 and the beginning of Part 2, is now complete enough that I've starting writing it out.

Along with this, I inadvertently solved a few coding challenges for The Estate while working on the new game, and those have been backported into The Estate, including a much cleaner solution to the Events Engine, which will make creating new content *much* faster than before. (I made what amounted to about 6 months of story work in The Estate in about 3 weeks in the new system)

So, with that, nv0.3.0 is now on the way, and The Estate is officially unshelved! I don't have a solid timeline on a release at the moment, but I wanted to at least make it known that it's under development again.
