2024-12-24 12:35:50 +0000 UTCI quite liked the start of this story, but I think you missed an opportunity to make something different. A lot of your stories are a bit same-y, I'm finding - strong, independent heroine finds someone who they can't beat physically or who uses mind-control/drugs to ensnare their mind. With the Horizon setting there was an opportunity for robots designed to capture (which you had, and I loved both the snake and the frog), but also for robots designed to control, or that forced a human into the role of the animal the robot resembled. Robo-suits that created pony girls, or turned a human into a dog, or a cow. A world ripe for imaginative bondage, domination, and control, and it's only used for "the villain uses her focus for mind-control." The story started out strong, but I think part 2 and part 3 wasted the potential of part 1. Might be just me, and sorry for not being totally satisfied.
