Ruin Me 0.43.0: "Bend reality" cheat password
Added 2022-01-31 19:48:27 +0000 UTCThe latest version of Ruin Me adds a cheat mode for Center of Attention patrons, which you can access in your bedroom by going to the Reminisce menu and entering the password "ALKAHEST" (no quotes). If I notice the password get leaked, I'll change it in a release soon after so that y'all continue to get a special extra benefit.
The options there are basic right now: you can give yourself a bunch of Ken, customize Theresa's stats, or unlock later acts. They're probably a bit buggy, too, especially the act unlocking, as this wasn't something I designed for ahead of time.
I'm okay with a bit of jankiness as the result of cheating (such as some dialogue not making sense or events occurring out of order), but please tell me if you run into issues where you have a game-breaking issue after cheating. You can comment here, DM me on Patreon, or write: phanes@phanes.me
Additionally, if there's an option you'd like to see on the cheat menu, let me know! There's a bunch of stuff I could put in, but I'd prefer to know what y'all most want.
Finally: the new random ambience system gives an additional place for simple patron requests. If there's a one-dialogue-box-long idea that you'd like to see possibly show up in town, let me know! I'll work with you to make sure it fits and I'll write it up to add it to the game.
