Ruin Me 0.16 Preview and 0.15 BTS on Porn vs. Plot

Hello, perverts! I missed writing to you last week. I'm continuing to feel better, part of which is due to taking more time to relax and take care of myself. In this post I'll talk a bit about my thoughts around the story sequence from update 15 and share my plans for update 16!

The current poll for $5 patrons is about what kinky shit should be explored first in upcoming training sequences. Currently, my Center of Attention patrons are being a bit hard on Theresa: they're in favor of messy play with various bodily fluids and engaging in verbal humiliation. Don't worry; she'll be into it! But if you'd prefer another focus, there's still time for you to share your opinion.

Porn and Plot

Update 15 was mostly a continuation of the Reform Institute plotline, which didn't really have any sex in it. There's an optional scene where you take an enema, but I deliberately made it relatively neutral with regard to eroticization.

I could have put some kinky, porny stuff in there, but I felt like it would have clashed with the tone of the rest of the game. The Reform Institute is a Bad Place right now, and it doesn't seem to fit for the bad things there to be eroticized. In another game, it might be cool, but for this one I'll save the porn for when it's liberatory.

Why am I including this segment at all, then, in a game that's otherwise pretty much 100% porn-y? Without spoiling too much of my future story plans: I want to set up a contrast to the rest of the game. This place has a sort of evil and harm that isn't even sexy, in contrast to some of the "monsters" you encounter elsewhere. I hope that, once this plot arc is complete, you all like what it's leading to.

Next Update

For now, I only want to predict I'll finish one thing: the final piece of Tier 3 training, in oral sex, bringing Theresa from Experience 2 to 3. There's a bunch of writing and some art left to do on it, but at the moment I'm feeling good about my ability to finish in time for a normal Thursday release. Once that's done, I think I'll start work on the last piece of the Byatis story for Act 2, which will open me up to work on a lot of other stuff without releasing it out of order. I doubt that story sequence will be done in time for update 16, however.
