Helloo!! Here's a speedpaint along with some tips (or maybe just things I've discovered?) for anyone interested in getting into digital drawing ( ˘͈ ᵕ ˘͈♡)
First! After sketching, I make the main lineart as clear and clean as possible. This makes painting easier later on. I separate the main lineart from the details, like hair sections, eyes, mouth, clothing marks, etc. I do this because I have an eraser that recognizes the lines and lets me erase any excess easily. It's super helpful and speeds up my coloring process.
Eraser code: 1800143
When it’s time to paint, I keep everything in separate layers (I totally recommend this!) so I can work on shadows, textures, and other details more easily. Layer masks are also easier to apply this way. And for rendering, I don’t rely on it as much anymore (but sometimes I do hehe) Instead, I use it to add details and fix any mistakes. I'm making progress (૭ 。•̀ ᵕ •́。 )૭
In a few days, I'll post another speedpaint with more info. It’ll be a tutorial on how to paint skin <3
