As YouTube broadens the potential for longer and more in-depth content than ever before, media critics seem to be trending more and more towards these extremely long dissections of films, TV shows and video-games. It’s a model that can be used well, or poorly - and in examining the content of MauLer, one of its most popular proponents, myself and Eric Taxxon have found ourselves with quite a lot to say. Let’s see if we can work out whether the Unbridled Rager is, in fact, objectively bad.
Happy New Year! This one is a bit off-track for me, a pointed response video to a YouTube media critic who I have quite a personal distaste for. I'm trying to steer away from this kind of negativity, but hopefully with the context of my next few videos - which will more specifically target the increasingly toxic analytical mindset of "objective critique" on YouTube - this will make more sense. In any case, I hope you all get some entertainment out of the video, and be sure to check out Eric's content as linked in the description.
Because I didn't say it in this video: Love you all, and stay safe.
