The apartment door closes behind Hayley and Claryssa as they walk into the livingroom. It was the first time Manny and Claryssa had hosted their friends, the evening beginning with a split between the guys playing video games and the girls going for a short drive. Turning as they enter, Manny greets them. “Hey! We’re just finishing up.”

“Who’s winning?” Claryssa asks.

“It’s cooperative, oh shit… Manny help me out here.”

Distributing the feast from United Burgers, all quickly begin digging into the entrees they had ordered while chatting about the last few months. Hayley and Roger’s run-in with a mugger thankfully ended up with no repercussions on their end, Hayley’s manhandling of the criminal looked at as a means of self-defense. Roger and Manny shift toward a post-game chat about how they’d win their match next time.

“You finally settled on a date?” Hayley asks, referring to the couple’s wedding. Claryssa nods happily.

“We figured there was no rush, it’s going to be a small occasion with familiar faces. March 2030, I’m really excited.”

“I’m very happy for you, Claryssa.” Hayley says. The meal had come to an end, the crew all pitching in afterwards to toss out the trash and clean the dishes.

While Manny set up the movie for the evening, Hayley admires various pieces of artwork hung around the room. Three new pieces dotted the walls, all done up by artists appreciating her figure in recent days and times while she competed. There were various shelves loaded with trophies as well, her achievements well remembered. “I’m pretty sure Betty had that one commissioned actually, more of an April fools prank than anything else. But we ran out of places to but my trophies, so that one is on the floor.”

“I wouldn’t worry about it. You earned them, makes sense to display them around the house.”

The rest of the evening goes well, a thriller doing well to keep the attention of everyone. Hayley sprawls out over the extension of the couch, her hand snaked around Roger to cup his hand during the entire film. Claryssa similarly sits rapt as the movie flashes in front of them, her thigh pressed against Manny’s while the both hold hands.
