I absolutely loved this week, learned more about blender again (last time was Claryssa's wooden train) when I was making the miniatures. I'll attach full size renders of the minis with the alternate angles on Thursday, hope you enjoy!

Talk about a tight fit. Hey everyone, it’s a rainy March Sunday and we figured spending time at my grandma’s could be fun. Daisy and Claryssa are boardgame enjoyers, always happy to get me in front of a table to be an additional player. Madelyn is no novice either, she smokes us whenever we play something she knows.

After catching up, Claryssa and Daisy moved on to set up a table and some chairs. We brought our own games to complement Madelyn’s classics but Claryssa also wanted to show us her latest hobby. From what I’ve gathered, it’s a mix of boardgames and painting, something Daisy has expressed her own interest in for years.

The concept seems to be miniatures of an army and you then paint them any way you want. Afterwards, you and a friend can set them up and battle. Its neat, but definitely labor intensive and expensive. For those reasons as well as others you might be able to guess, I’ll pass on buying my own set. Claryssa has heard Roger is getting his own army though, so those two are sure to have fun together.

Not too long after we arrived, my grandmother is doing what she does best. I offer my assistance to try and ease the workload of preparing food for three hungry girls but it’s hard simply not getting in the way. We made do and there was plenty of her classic stew to go around. Washing dishes is at least a way I can contribute easily, cleaning up before we all settled in for the day.

So there you have it. A relaxing end to the weekend with family and friends. Grandma says she appreciates these visits more than we know, and that we are welcome anytime. I have no doubt she would be happy to host Halloween again but we seem to be giving everyone a turn. I think Mom’s going to do the honors this year, we’ll see! As for Daisy and Claryssa, they both had a blast doing some painting before we all played some other games together. I know I didn’t talk much about the big growth spurt I had this month, so I’ll be sure to have a home journal next month and update you then. For now, cya!
