I'm incredibly pleased with how this week came out! Nothing like a bit of sisterly bonding, not to mention that Betty is always a great boon to the sex appeal of the series~

Betty listens as Gracelyn enthusiastically shares her latest discoveries in the world of tailoring, designing a dress that not only fit the taller and generously-thighed Whitmore sister but matched the requests she had made a month prior. “It should drape across your midsection in a dual diagonal that I’ve been dying to test out… Plus it’s mostly silk and should feel absolutely divine on the skin! If you have a moment, I’d love to see it on you.”

“You’ve put *how* many hours into this project, Gracie? Four dresses, I swear…”

“Have a heart, Joyce. And if you think about it, these girls are on track to help me retire early! Not that I’d want to… There’s something incredibly fun about engaging with them.”

“Come now, you don’t expect me to put this on alone, right? I’d hate to rip it!”

“Does your definition of ‘fun’ include posters of yourself half-naked as a five-hundred-foot-tall giant woman…?”

“Shush, you. Coming!”

“Ah, I see the new mannequin arrived! Do you like it?”

“I mean, I appreciated the first and how you had them match my figure. I was more than happy to accept your offer for another with *your* body shape but…”

“Isn’t it a tad large?”

“Oh, those darned contractors! I believe they must have messed up the units of measure, swapping centimeters for inches and the sort. I will have to have a chat with the vendor, I know him personally you see…”

“Whatever you say, Betty.”

Posing with a grace only royalty could achieve, Betty lets the two seamstresses admire Gracelyn’s work as Claryssa quietly entered the boutique. It wasn’t a dress for Betty alone, for she was taking her duties as Maid of Honor very seriously. Claryssa and Manny’s big day is more than a year out, yet there was a certain fun Betty got from planning and Claryssa knew there was no one better than her elder sister to fill the role. She knew it was far too early to get the bridesmaids dresses, given their tendency to outgrow clothes in a matter of months, but design and material could be worked out in advance. Claryssa affectionately approaches the trio.
