Comfy and cozy, Hayley’s eyes blink open after a good night’s rest. She lays motionless for a while, not quite wanting to start the day just yet. ‘Why did I pick today?’ She thinks quietly. ‘Today should be a lazy day.’

Inner narrative aside, Hayley slides out of bed and begins getting her clothes ready. She’d decided to do something about her lithe figure, or at least try. The day had finally come where Hayley purchased a treatment online, four bottles that promise muscle growth and more. ‘Do not take in excess, only use in small doses over a measured, short amount of time as prescribed by a… yeah whatever.’

Hayley ended up downing a single pill and decided one a day was a good start. She had enough bottles to last for a while, she could try taking more if she didn’t see results. Quietly snapping a picture before beginning, Hayley had done some brief studies on form and beginning a bodybuilding journey. ‘Well, if I'm gonna start this thing I might as well start it with a selfie. Here's to a good workout?’

Even with the lightest weights the gym Fitness Limited had, Hayley found herself quickly tiring after only a few repetitions. ‘Is this supposed to be fun? It's a lot harder than it looks!’ She inwardly realizes. Most of her adult life Hayley has been testing a myriad of jobs and fields. None of them tended to be physical or intense. With an accounting degree she already considered a waste of time, Hayley was currently a receptionist at a clinic, having moved there after an internship at a hospital didn’t work out.

She gives it her all and soon a sheen of sweat builds. ‘I’ll need to buy real workout clothes if this is what it’s like.’ Wrapping up her first workout, Hayley commits to seeing this through. If this could help her be less invisible to everyone around her then it’s worth a shot.
