Normally a PC gamer, Roger is playing the latest in a line of difficult RPGs. With a certain deftness in dodging and rolling, the game was easy enough. Roger had to put his gaming habit aside while finishing college but took it up again once he had nailed a job as a graphic designer for a local firm. Being good with art programs and knowing how to code provided steady employment. His girlfriend however…

As Hayley roused, Roger fondly looked over at his sleepy large girlfriend. Her body shifts as she begins pulling the blanket off herself, having dozed off once the pair had finished a Sunday afternoon bout of intercourse. 

“Mmmn… Still struggling with that boss…?” Hayley asks. Her interests in gaming depended on the day, she could enjoy it with her friends but not many games kept her attention alone. 

“That was an hour ago, I’ve beaten several. Good afternoon, sleepyhead.” Roger answers.

A week prior, Hayley had provided her two weeks’ notice to Club Mirror, no longer wishing to be the establishment’s bouncer. Of all the jobs she’s held, being a bouncer and turning away unwanted guests seemed to be the least aligned with what she enjoyed. In recent memory, being an intern at a hospital and a fitness trainer were good leads but didn’t bear fruit. With an outstretched hand, Roger proposes they go out to eat.

“Glorious Pizza would be great right about now, unless we should be responsible and revise your resume…?”

“Fuck that, I don’t even know what I’ll apply to next.” The couple slide into proper attire for interacting with the public and set out to grab a few slices of pizza. Or, a pair of whole pizzas knowing Hayley’s appetite. “We’ll see if Gloria has Blossom working today. You know I was a waitress there in high school, right?” 

Roger nods as he watches his amazon of a girlfriend duck out the door. “I think so, when you first introduced me to Gloria.” With pills in her pocket, Hayley wonders if her former boss needed a hand these days, especially if she was relying on Blossom more.
