We are excited to announce that primary development Overgrown: Genesis is coming to a close, meaning the game's main story will be complete shortly and the game's ending(s) will be ready soon!
In light of this, many patrons and players have brought up concerns and questions regarding the future of Overgrown: Genesis.
We don't have a solid answer, but the loose plan is basically to add to Overgrown: Genesis with retcon/back-added content to the main game, expansion packs, and so on. In relation to that, these polls will focus on asking patrons what kind of content they think is lacking, and that they wish to see out of Overgrown: Genesis's subsequent updates post-completion.

Remember the jill's boyfriend detail from Resident Evil 2 capcom never did anything with it due to them always playing match matchmaker with Claire Redfield and Rebecca Chambers designing literal plot's around character's liking each other that's you Resident Evil Code Veronica. Juno's an engineer so maybe we get a story where we go in a love lost plot where watch her struggle to keep stripping job and manage her relations with boyfriend as he tries in what leads to his death to find a better source of income for juno to fund payments to her degree giving a lore insight into Juno's back story hell maybe it's as simple as he's a grease junkie i.e works on cars and hits off with Juno and they hit it off as a pair as an pandemic develops around them that leads to his death I'm just thowing idea's out there because the feels like a lesbian night dream with how much it get's scene's thrown at the player. That' s why I brought up the controller issue so much as I opted to favor the gameplay instead of unlocking scenes because what the point see another lesbian get at Juno or watch a man take avantage and rape her it wasn't getting my blood running but running from and sneaking pass infected sure did so I continued to support the game give it money see how many game or movie references I can notice in the quest it's better to support than giving my money to some triple a studio who doesn't even have the balls to show a vagina uncensored and more stable to play

2020-03-09 14:35:47 +0000 UTCAfaik what usually happens with AAA studios once they have multiple IP's is teams are split or folks are hired to flesh out a second, or both. Intellectual property is capital waiting to make money, so not working with it is lost potential. Idk if Patreon's profitable enough for y'all to do legit full speed dual development, and I know the plan was to finish CQ completely before figuring it out, but... I love both worlds and I'd hate to see OG get lost in the shuffle.

2020-03-09 07:10:02 +0000 UTCPersonally I feel like any sizeable expansion to the story should be a separate prequel or sequel, and side characters could get spin offs or DLC-style minigames. I feel like a safe move would be setting the art team on adding CG, alternate/extra scenes, etc. to creatures that are already implemented, while everyone else either plans out or starts development on a sequel/prequel/next project/CQ. Any plans to do a development analysis? What went wrong/right/lessons learned etc? Direction that's both easiest to work on and most profitable now that you have one and a half established IP's?

2020-03-09 06:47:15 +0000 UTCSee, now I'm curious if more infection content will have more creatures or if it's more Dryad scenes. Like if maybe a few other Dryads evolved in a different way than the main game's primary boss, or if their creation has them allow things like the crawlers/walkers etc. evolutions' or extra abilities. Also, kinda wanna see more of Juno (yeah, even after the 5 endings, despite only 1 being out atm). Mainly 'cause I love her attitude and am super curious about what direction there could be additionally (part of me hoping for a doomsday scenario in which Juno doesn't fight a Dryad; instead she IS a Dryad). Lastly, yeah, would love more protagonists set in the same game/universe. Maybe have a survivor in the current Dryad Ending? That being said that sounds HARD to win.

Having a certain level of infection could be beneficial, for example, by granting certain abilities and creating certain drawbacks. Juno's always been on her own side in one way or another. Who says the infection has to be a bad thing as far as she's concerned? Zombie sex is just a bonus. ;3

But an end game content after game over, an ending content, can be a nice addition, since people are asking for more infection content. It would be like Starcraft, finished terran story ? Time to play the zerg now !

To jump start some ideas, perhaps the infection has another strain in one of the endings that is persistent towards recent cures? And it specifically targets select hosts that already have useful bodies? Such ad athletes or body builders? Maybe the infection also works on women this time?
