Tonight the Fall Creators Update will start being rolled for all Windows 10 users. In general the new Windows version is pretty fast and work nice, but theres a couple warnings so you dont have to lose almost a whole afternoon trying to fix things. What I'm noting here is a set of issues I had for a clean installation; I have no idea if just "upgrading" your current Windows 10 will break anything (it shouldnt).
1. If you have a first-gen Cintiq 21UX (The DTZ models) or an Intuos 3 or another old tablet from Wacom, I'm sad to say that they aren't making drivers for them anymore. In addition, most drivers in the download pages do not work.
However, following the steps explained here here word by word, without missing any step, and using the driver linked in there, I got it to work again.
This is strictly a driver problem; newer Wacom models (like the 13HD) work just fine with the latest driver.
2. If for any reason you own two tablets (I know most people doesnt, but its worth to say it), unplug the newest one, install Windows and get the oldest one running first. Once that's working fine (and you already calibrated your old tablet), plug the new one, install it and recalibrate it. Doing this both tablets will work well and together.
3. If you're opting for a clean installation of the system, remember that https://ninite.com can save you several hours reinstalling programs.
That's it. Greetings for everyone.
