Patreon's Response To A Technical Problem

Patreon's support gave a response to my email a while back and I figured I should post it in case anyone else experiences this problem. I can't guarantee this will help, but hopefully it will if you are one of the few experiencing the problem:

Patrons have the ability to increase their membership payment without actually changing to a higher Tier. Unfortunately, a patron simply increasing their payment amount does not automatically move them up to a higher Tier. This is because we want patrons to have the flexibility of giving more to their favorite creators, even if they're happy with the benefits in a lower Tier. These patrons can resolve these post appearing as locked, by editing their membership with you, and selecting the appropriate Tier with the corresponding benefits, and posts they'd like access to. I'm about to start working on the polling-based patron exclusive video next. I should say ahead of time I intend for the story in this next video to be a bit simple and bare so I can finish quickly and finally get all caught up in my work.
