Yu-Gi-Oh Spirit Duelist c10

After losing the pair of Slifer Reds left, Alexis decided to show him around. She has been here since her middle classes.

At the very least, she can show him around. Not that there is much to see.

“Oh, so this is Ra Dormitory, doesn’t look bad,” Raynor commented as he looked at the yellow house in the distance.

“If you think it's not bad, let me show you the other two dormitories.” She smiled as he motioned for him to follow her.

As they were walking, her patience has lost to her curiosity.

Here he was… the one who held mysteries to supernatural powers and most likely could know something about her brother if she were to show him the abandoned dorm.

“...How are the duels inside the spirit realm?” She asked him, trying to sound as casual as possible.

“Different.” He bluntly replied, before expanding.

“For example, when I first arrived there, I fought Ryu-Kishin Powered.” 

“A level four monster with attack power 1600 and defence of 1200, a card widely used by Seto Kaiba in the early days.” She explained like an encyclopedia.

“Exactly, in the Spirit World, having a full deck is a rarity. Only powerful Supreme Rulers have a full set of cards.”

“Then… you were fighting beings who have fewer cards, but unique cards? I assume it could be dangerous and advantageous at the same time.” She immediately reasoned out loud.

“Indeed, so my first opponent had only five or six cards.

And in the end, Ryu-Kishin Powered summoned himself to the field.”

“Summoned himself?” 

For a second, she pondered what that could mean, but then her eyes widened.

“What happens if he is destroyed in a fight?” She asked, but from the way she looked, the girl had a good idea.

“The duel ends.”

“...I see… then it becomes your card?”

“No, that Duel Monster became pure energy that I absorbed. That’s how my soul awakened, and I began to access supernatural powers.” He clarified, making her slowly nod.

Just from this, she can tell that the Spirit Realm sounds dangerous.

“...So…all of the duels have a danger to it…” She knew that already, but hearing it again from a different angle makes her weary.

“Of course, there are no duels for fun, that’s how it works.” 

The Spirit Duelist said with a sigh.

“I see, even if it's the case, I still want to learn this power if it’s possible.” Alexis didn’t give up or even consider giving up, regardless of the opposition.

“Oh, I will teach you, in that regard, you can relax.” He reassured her.

“Thanks.”

While she thanked him, he got a little bit closer, as before them was the Obelisk Blue girls' dorm.

They didn’t get too close.

“This is the girls’ dorm.” She motioned towards her palace, like home.

“You mean to tell me that ALL girls go here?” He asked, gawked at the Palace! This was nuts! It reminds him of legit European Palaces!

“No, this is where Obelisk Girls go. Ras and Slifers stay in their dorms.”

“...”

He blankly looked at the palace for a second.

“But I haven’t seen girls in Ra or Slifer!” He pointed that out.

“That’s because girls usually don’t play Duel Monsters, and if they do, it’s usually very good to the point that they go to Obelisk Blue…

Like me, OR

Money and connections.” She said the last part with a bit of a strained smile.

Alexis didn’t told him that 99.99% girls here are through connections. She is the only one in recent years who got through sheer skill.

“Well, it would seem the girls have noticed you.” He commented before getting an idea.

“Let’s show them that our little bet did happen~” He whispered to her, his look was mischievous.

“W-What do you have in mind?” She blushed just at the idea! What does he have in mind?

“We are going to hold hands~” 

Her eyes widened for a second before she slowly nodded. She was expecting something more… as her expectations don’t have set boundaries, thanks to her lack of experience.

But it was good, as she offered her hand. The girl was wearing fingerless blue duelling gloves.

Raynor took it; he was a bit surprised that she didn’t think much about it.

“Is it good enough?” She asked, wanting to confirm that it was the right way.

“Indeed.” As he agreed, her two friends walked over.

“Lexi… oh…” The girls stopped as they saw Alexis hold Raynor’s hand.

The blonde noticed the gaze; that moment, something clicked in her.

‘Wait a moment. If I have a boyfriend, then I don’t need to bother about other boys!’ Her eyes widened as she realised this!

It was as if she learned a universal truth! Like, there are counter spells for spell cards! A chain!

“This is Raynor Valeron. My new boyfriend!” Alexis got a bit animated while saying that.

Her happy and animated behaviour caught the attention of the two girls.

“To tell you the truth, he can see and interact with Duel Spirits. I wanted to learn this method, but it ended in a duel, and I lost.” The obelisk blue girl explained with a sigh.

“What? You have to be joking.” A girl with short brown hair had a look of ‘are you for real?’

But Alexis knew that and looked at Raynor.

“Fine.” 

With a mere thought, a small, cute dragon appeared in front of her.

“Gah!?”

For a second, she was spooked, but then realised that it was a cute white dragon with blue eyes.

“Oh my gosh! So cute!!!”

Before they could capture the dragon chick, it flew up and landed on Raynor’s head.

“Like I just said, Raynor has special powers.”

“Yeah…” The girls nodded, but their eyes were on the cute monster.

SIGH

**ROAR**

At that moment, adult blue eyes manifested at the side and roared at the pair.

YEEP

The pair squeaked, almost passing out from the fright.

“When my girlfriend is speaking, listen, okay?” Raynor's words caused them to nod seriously as their souls nearly left their bodies.

“There is no need to frighten them like that,” Alexis whispered to him as her eyes were on the towering dragon. 

She can tell it was a real thing, the beast is breathing, moving like it was alive. It made her stare at it in awe.

But then it disappeared, as if it had never been there in the first place.

“Well, I needed to send a message.” He shrugged.

“Right… anyway let’s continue our…” That moment she realised that they were in a form of a date.

“Date. Yes, I know, we can discuss decks after.” 

Her eyes perked up, and there was a bit of heat in her gaze.

“I would love that.” She seriously nodded as the pair walked away. 

“...So are you going to keep that little dragon around?” Alexis asked as her gaze went to his hair, where the small dragon was.

“I don’t mind.”

“...can I hold it?” She asked, her voice was cute.

Instead of answering, the dragon flew up and into her hand.

“Wow… it’s warm… and scaly…” She was curious and at the same time concerned about how effortlessly it becomes a living being and then a soul.

“Do be careful, it might be cute, but it’s still Blue-Eyes. Attack power is at 1200, it could break humans in half without much effort.” 

“I know. Just because it’s a small beast, it doesn’t mean it’s weak.”

Regardless, the girl ended up holding the dragon like a pet as they walked towards the male Obelisk Blue dormitory.

“...A freaking castle… I guess I need to become Obelisk Blue as soon as possible.” Raynor commented after seeing a castle-like manor with a blue roof.

“There are promotions available throughout the year.” She said with a dragon in her hands.

“I know.” He replied as he looked at the castle.

Their visit didn’t go unnoticed. As word spread that Alexis and HER boyfriend were outside.

Obelisk Blue guys rushed out in groups.

“Split up!”

Chazz, like Emperor, walked through, standing in front of the whole group.

“Slifer slacker, I don’t accept this! We must duel! If I win, you will split up with Alexis!” The guy pointed his finger at Raynor.

“Are you sure? Because when stakes are this high, I can ask unreasonable stuff from you as well.” Raynor pulled out his deck and slid it into his duel disk.

“You don’t need to do this, Raynor,” Alexis commented as she looked with anger at Chazz.

“Why not? He won’t win. That is for sure, and I can ask something absurd, since he is demanding crazy things.” The Spirit Duelist showed a grin, a grin that made some of the Obelisks take a step back. The aura the Supreme Ruler was emitting was causing the mentally weaker ones to reconsider their group tactics.

“...You have something in mind?” Alexis looked curious.

“Yes. How about 50 laps around your fancy castle on your hands?” Raynor randomly decided.

“...F-Fine! It’s not like I will lose to you, Slifer Slacker!” Chazz slammed his deck into his duel disk.

The Duel Disks turned on, and everyone made some space for them.

At that moment, the white Dragon disappeared from Alexis' hands. The girl looked dissapointed. She wouldn’t mind having a dragon deck now… if she could hold the little ones like that!

“Duel!”

“Duel!”

“I start first!” Chazz pulled a card and then selected another from his hand.

“I summon Cthnonian Soldier in attack mode!” A black armour soldier manifested on his side of the field.

“And set a card down.” A face-down card appeared next to Chazz.

“I end my turn, Slifer Slacker.”

“You really need to expand your vocabulary, Chazzy.” Raynor joked as he pulled a card.

“Oh, Pot of greed.”

He showed his card before drawing two more cards.

“Well, just look at that, another pot of greed, nice! My luck is great today, I guess my cards are telling me that I should return to my date as soon as possible.” Raynor pulled out two more cards.

“Hmm, this is not bad.” 

“First, I use Heavy Storm.” 

Wind blasted away Chazz’s face-down card.

“Next, I summon him.”  He showed his Lord of Dragons.

“...” The face of the Obelisk Blue student morphed into a heavy annoyance as he saw this monster being used against Alexis.

“So he has a good hand to use Lord of D,” The blonde commented.

“Once my Lord of Dragons is summoned, I can check the deck for his flute.”

Without wasting time, the flute was summoned next.

“Now I can special summon these two.” 

He showed two monsters.

“Blue-Eyes!” Chazz commented as he recognised one.

“Not just any Blue Eyes, but his support card too.” Raynor clarified.

“I summon Blue-Eyes Juvenile Dragon and Blue-Eyes White-Dragon.”

One adult dragon and one younger, slender one appeared on the field around the Lord of Dragons.

“Never seen a monster like this! Blue-Eyes has support monsters now!?” Chazz was confused! Those cards are already stupidly strong!

“Hah, indeed. Since Juvenile is summoned, the effect is activated, and I can search my deck for my third dragon.”

“...” 

The look of horror appeared on his face as he realised what this meant.

Raynor got his third card.

“Before I fuse my Three Blue Eyes White Dragons, I use this spell card.”

He showed a spell card; it was the dragon shooting a beam from its mouth.

“This is Burst Stream of Destruction. All I need is a Blue-Eyes White Dragon on the field. Now blue eyes destroy his monster!”

A white lightning blast erased his soldier from the field.

Chazz grimaced as he saw a Cthnonian Soldier being destroyed by a spell card.

“Now your Blue Eyes can’t attack me this turn.” He reminded Raynor.

Even with a Juvenile in the field who can attack, and a Lord of Dragons, he would take 3200 points of damage, and he would survive the turn.

“Irrelevant. Because I use polymerisation next. I fuse my Blue-Eyes White Dragon on the field and two in my hand to Fusion Summon…”

Two more white dragons appeared in the field as three of them flew up and merged into one. A large white dragon with three heads appeared behind Raynor.

“Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon!”

“N-No way… You have even this card!!!” Chazz began to shake, seeing this beast appear on the field.

It was no joke to say that he was a bit frightened, because part of him felt that it was no longer a hologram.

“Let’s end this. I still have a date to continue.” Raynor motioned towards his three-headed pet.

“Attack him with White Stream of Destruction.” 

Three heads opened their mouths and released energy blasts towards the defenceless Chazz.

Instantly, all of his lifepoints dropped to zero.
