Yule Ball Xmas Collab Preview/WIP

The prompt for this collab was French Rococo Yule Ball!

I used this as a chance to try to learn how to use CSP! Hence the bows and ruffles. I wanted to know how it went to try to program all webtoon creators swear by.

Conclusion; It went? but only just. I feel clunky using it, so I proceeded to give up, use all the asset designs, then export it back to my usual program to finish it ;; I'll give it another good ol college try in another illustration, maybe not such an ambitious piece.

basically while having pre made brushes for the bows and ruffles was fun, it was also a headache and I think I could have done the same thing and made it blend better/quicker by hand drawing it

It is hard switching programs, i didnt much like csp compaired to SAI at first but after using it for a while, i got used to it qnd now cant even imagine going back lol. However, you are doing an amazing job with your original program and unless you find you need it for some exclusive features, or if you just genuinely want to switch, wouldn't worry about switching! Amazing peace, though!!

But it's a lovely drawing. Man I love 18th century fashion (and 16th and 17th and 19th, lol)

I think i may have tried it before years ago! Currently use Firealpaca which feels a like like csp but simpler. it just kinda clicked with me :0

Kiri looks so great in that outfit! You might want to give Krita a try -- free, multiplatform, designed by artists for artists. David Revoy swears by it for his Pepper & Carrot webcomic and participates in the design/testing process. www.davidrevoy.com if you want to find out more about how he uses it.
