Didn't have anything to upload, Selenite (and her 50 new cosplays) is away on a business trip, Carnelian was busy too. Figured out we could do a sawarineko vid somewhere I'm very familiar with: a big, pompous housing estate with limited access courtyards.
It started off on a bad note: the place was very windy because of how the buildings are positioned; air rushing through a gap. Our balloon bunches got tangled in 3 seconds so we had to cut and re-tie them.
As soon as the first balloon went kaboom I knew we were in for some trouble. It genuinely sounded like a gunshot! I didn't mention it in the c4s outro for obvious reasons but there were some people around. I didn't bother looking at them but I imagine they were quite puzzled. Gunshot after gunshot we went through the first bunch and... nothing happened. A food delivery guy is walking right behind me in one of the shots and you can't even tell.
Emboldened, we continued our filming in the now vacant mini soccer field (the lone kid probably decided the cat lady was too much for him), then the covered stairs down to street level (we immediately realised that shooting at a busy foot traffic spot was a dumb idea and relocated), then a car ramp and back to the benches. Not a single complaint. I guess my timing was good after all: I wanted to wrap before 5 PM when residents start getting back home.
It's nice being able to shoot outside because it really showcases how good this camera's sensor is. Absurdly good dynamic range considering the direct sunlight in some of the shots and a WHITE DRESS hoooly, I think the highlights only blew out badly at the very end which is why the final pop looks a bit off (I had to change exposure mid-scene). The building having a ton of glass helped out a lot too: the reflections on the ground were excellent for lighting the scene and just providing visual interest.
