It's not entirely a remake, it's "based on". The story is very much altered to take place in India, and problems that are very "indian". Just incase you missed it the Ahuja guy, burnt down these poor kids schools, to make it a entertainment sector for the rich, and a really small school in the corner (while the whole place was their school earlier). And now for PR he is acting as if he has done a lot for the kids who studied there, by bringing these 3 to a rich school. Also Dheeraj's brother was sent to jail for a month, with no proof or anything just for a peaceful protest.
