One of Mr. Internetman's most endearing contributions during his successful run on the X-men comic in the late 80's was his creation of Mr. Fugly. The diminutive shapeshifter was a favorite of new and old fans alike and was considerably less annoying than Morph. The actual origins of the character are yet to be revealed but his first appearance had him infiltrating the Hellfire Club's secret Disco Club annex and joining Wolverine and Cyclops as they battled the ferocious and frightening Plaid Queen. Mr. Fugly liked to take a variety of forms but his favorite was that of X-Demon, a flying foxy fiend who used to be in the employment of Mephisto, joined the X-men briefly, and unceremoniously killed off by a demon-possessed weiner mobile in the Inferno storyline (the name brand of Oscar Meyer was conspicuously obscured so as to avoid any lawsuit). Sadly, every superhero must have their death scene and Mr. Fugly met his unfortunate end when he was sat on by the Blob after a disastrous game of Hungry Hungry Hippos. Not so sadly, every superhero comes back eventually (just ask Magick!) and the pint-sized mega-morpher was resurrected by Belasco's evil twin Tabasco and was last seen in an issue of X-factor doing strip shows in Mojo World. What a huge journey for such a little guy!
