Just some points of clarification for the first 4 episodes and heads up for ya:
- It's a little confusing, but the Fuhrer's first name is King. His full name is King Bradley.
- Roy Mustang, the Flame Alchemist, is not the Fuhrer's son.
- Some Alchemist specialize in certain fields/materials/elements but aren't necessarily restricted to that one element or concept. As the show states, its a science. So technically any Alchemist could say "fix a radio" or "make a spear" as long as they have a firm scientific understanding of the material they are using and how to deconstruct and reconstruct it.
- We will learn more about the mysterious serial killer character in later episodes, but his name is not Yoki. That is another character who we will also learn more about later.
- Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood is a remake of the original Full Metal Alchemist adaptation. The series kind of assumes that you have some familiarity with the original, so if some ideas/characters feel like they are flying by in the beginning, don't worry. The pacing relaxes as you go on.
- You probably are going to get a lot of sub vs dub comments on the YouTube side of things. Personally, I prefer the dub, but both performances/casts are phenomenal. I would go with whatever feels/works better for you.
Really enjoying your reaction so far. Can't wait to see the rest of it. Thanks!

Not trying to spoil, but you don't have to write everything down. The show does a good job of explaining along the way. And a big thanks for using the sub version, although the dub is one of the passable ones.

The way the show shifted from light and fun to one of the darkest moments in anime within just one episode is what makes it one of the all-time great animes. And just think this anime is 14 plus years old.
