There are four type of infected(in order of progression): Runners(who the old lady became), Stalkers, Clickers, and Bloaters. Fun fact: the actress who played Marlene is the same actress who played Marlene in the game. You will see actors who played characters in the game, in the show. esp. the actors who played Joel and Ellie.
