CORRECTED: NES Works 147 (After Burner)
Added 2025-06-30 22:00:08 +0000 UTCI have a few frustrating blind spots in my mental catalogue of video game history—things that have cemented themselves as fact in my brain despite being completely wrong. That includes the relationship that Tengen had to Atari's post-crash entities: it was a division of Atari Games, not Atari Inc. Usually these goofs are minor enough that I let them slide in publication and vow to get them right next time (which I usually forget to do). In the case of the most recent NES Works, though, I goofed so badly that I had to correct it before it goes public. And I am posting the corrected video here as well! Because you deserve better. Whew.

On the one hand, I doubt the vast majority of viewers would know or care about the distinction between Atari Games and Atari Inc. On the other hand, the keyboard warriors in the comments would be merciless
