Recent events (for example, chilling-effect legal attacks on the Internet Archive/the fascistic enshittification of the social media platforms that I used as my primary means of self-promotion/the continued heat death of games journalism) have prompted me to prioritize getting back into the habit of making websites of my own again. I don't have time for fresh, original blogging at the moment, but I can at least get my video companion sites back into gear. So, I've started the process with segaiden.com, in part because it's more manageable than Nintendo-related sites, but also because the SG-1000 Works book is my final, complete document about the platform, something I can't say for anything else besides Virtual Boy. And since the Segaiden video series is not only an ongoing concern but is about to level up to 16-bits, it seems worth getting up and running.
Currently I have the launch-day hardware and lineup posted and hope to publish an article each night (though I certainly can't make that as a promise). I hope to get as much of the book content online as possible—the final revamped game write-ups, of course, but also all the new supplemental material I produced for the book. Each article will also include some photography, screenshots, and the relevant Segaiden video episode (though a lot of the info in those episodes has been deprecated by the addition research and refinement that went into the book).
Please to enjoy this extremely niche internet resource.
