Segaiden 77: Final Bubble Bobble & Bomber Raid

We have reached 1989, friends. The gap between Master System coverage and NES Works grows ever slimmer. I'm still torn between whether I should just plow straight ahead and get Master System up to August 1989 and the Genesis launch, or if I should take things more slowly by layering in Atari and Intellivision material so that I've presented the entire 8-bit gaming landscape that existed at the time before embarking on the 16-bit era. I would take a poll, but I've gone back and forth on this a few times and will inevitably flip-flop a few more times regardless of what anyone says. I know my own mortal failings, believe me.

In the meantime, here's Final Bubble Bobble! It's a really good version of Bubble Bobble despite its lack of FM sound support! And also Bomber Raid!

Looking forward to some 16-bit goodness!

I regret to note that at 9:34, your chyron reads 1984 when it should read 1942 (or 43? whichever game that clip is from). (... Unless this is a joke about current events which went over my head. 😅)

The opening clip looked like Doctor Who, but I think it could have been some other British sci-fi, like Blake's 7.

JP will soon do what Genesis does.
