One last video to close out the old year—one I've been wanting to create for a decade now and finally decided to pull the trigger on. I was hoping to be able to record this as an analog RGB signal from Analogue Pocket, but Analogue still hasn't made analog output possible from the Pocket's Dock... so I decided to just go ahead and pull the trigger anyway.
Welcome to the Neo Geo Pocket retrospective series, a division of Game Boy Works Gaiden, Inc. This episode simply lays the groundwork with an overview of the platform... and not really even the entire platform. Just the monochromatic black-and-white system. I'm only covering U.S. releases in this series (for the most part), but the original non-color Pocket does indeed get a nod here because it was, very technically, released in the U.S. Ahoy!
Next month/year, I'll wade into the library itself.
I know I have some other platforms that need covering or finishing in the bonus lineup (Super Cassette Vision, among others). But they're going to have to wait. My heart belongs to NGP/NGPC, and everything else has to take a back seat for now.
