October bonus #1: Star Trek II LaserDisc preview (4K rip)

After about 15 months of living in a stage of stressful chaos, I think my life is finally settling down a little... at the very least, my most important recording equipment has a permanent setup, and all of the VHS tapes and LaserDiscs I need to rip are accessible again and close at hand. So, I can finally get back into a nice weekly routine of publishing interesting oddities for your eyes only. Sorry for the disruptions to the system! It will be nice for my nerves not to be in a state of "perpetually fried" again.

We'll start with something light and frothy. I found this preview for Star Trek II at the tail end of the Japanese Star Trek: The Motion Picture LD, and it kind of rules? Something about the music, the edits, and the narration give this the hyperactive feel of an anime "next episode" preview, a la Evangelion. And now I wish that every Star Trek episode ended with an anime-style next episode preview.
