This episode feels nicely emblematic of the Master System experience. Some good stuff, some very frustrating stuff, some impressive arcade conversions, some weirdly misaimed revisions to arcade material. And no teen idol singers, thankyouverymuch.

The typography JWT selected was extremely similar to Apple's custom version of Garamond, and they employed it to very similar effect. Of course, in later years, it would be Nintendo that took its design cues from Apple.

2023-01-11 12:23:07 +0000 UTCMy Hero feels like if they put it on a full cart it would have been one of the closest things to a 1:1 conversion since Donkey Kong on Famicom. It's a shame they went for the My Card format that couldn't hold the full vision; it had so much potential squandered.
