OK, but seriously, I'm proud of this episode. I think it hits the perfect balance between historic context, game design commentary, and praise for the game's legacy. There's a lot to say about Zelda II, really, and I could have gone on weighing the good and bad, but I promised myself I wouldn't create more multi-part episodes. So, with luck, this single episode will slake your thirst for Zelda II info. (I'm sure I'll have more to add in the NES Works 1988 book, which should arrive early in 2024.)
As for 2023, stick around through the end of this episode for a preview of coverage plans for next year now that we've put 1988 to bed for NES.
