Game Boy Works #120: Bubble Bobble & Chibi Maruko-chan
Added 2020-08-19 13:00:01 +0000 UTCI know people are excited for coverage of Bubble Bobble, but this is not the one to be excited about, sadly. The Game Boy release was not a direct adaptation of the NES or arcade game but instead went off in its own direction. Solo. A solo direction. Not a good direction for this series.
And yes, I show up briefly on camera here without it being some sort of bit. Apologies if this alarms you. I'm trying to play by the rules of Gaming YouTube a little more without going Rock-Bottom Gaming YouTube with screamoid video thumbnails or grotesque redpill rants. This is an experiment that I may well regret! We'll see.

2020-08-20 19:52:00 +0000 UTCI work for a multimedia company, and one of the things they've told us recently is that the YouTube algorithm rewards videos with human faces in the thumbnail. Apparently viewers are more likely to watch. The psychology around this eludes me.
