NES Works #060: Zanac & Lunar Pool
Added 2020-01-08 14:00:04 +0000 UTCA fine palette cleanser after last week's soggy beginning to the year, don't you think? Neither Zanac nor Lunar Pool are the most beautiful-looking games on NES, but they both play magnificently. And isn't that really what it's all about, in the end? I vote "yes."

Honestly shocked we've never gotten a proper Aleste or Compile ep of Retronauts. This was really good, as usual. Having two great games that no one else I know played helps of course.

2020-01-08 15:54:50 +0000 UTCHas there been a Nasir-programmed game on NES works yet? I can't recall. If not, next episode's going to be fun I suspect. As for these two... Lunar Pool I have a soft spot for because it was the only reasonably playable game on the 256-in-1 cart my cousins had. The second best thing on there was MUSCLE, let's just put it that way.
