Also, physical book recipients will be delighted to learn that completed copies of NES Works 1986 have arrived at Fangamer and should be shipped over to me for distribution soon. I've seen photos of the book. It looks amazing.

I loved this game back in the day, I played it so much, looking forward to watching the video. My only gripe was that I preferred the arcade games music, other than that it was great.

2017-11-22 12:56:53 +0000 UTCI rented this pretty much entirely because the SNES Players' Guide made it look cool. Then I played it, and remembered I'd seen it in my local Aladdin's Castle under the Area 88 name and wondered what the deal was. A year or two after that when the first wave of hobbyist VHS anime hit my local mom-and-pop video store (and Hastings a little later; Blockbuster wouldn't have a 'Japanimation' section for another year or two) I watched the OVA and REALLY fell in love. I didn't own a copy until 1996 when I randomly saw it at a closing KB Toys, but it's an amazing game and led me to a whole franchise I still love (even the 04 anime, which seemed controversial among older fans.)
