I realize I'm posting it at a weird hour; I'm on the wrong side of the planet, and this is the first time I've had access to a decent online connection since completing the video. So... uh, good morning? After you wake up?
Please enjoy this video look at Chubby Cherub. I wanted to hate this game like a good NES fan, but it's actually not terrible. Terribly flawed, yes, but nowhere near as bad as the games on either side of it.

I didn't get to the stereotype, but I have a hard time getting upset when that sort of thing appears in a Japanese game of this vintage. Their cultural awareness of how offensive those things are just didn't exist back then. They were working from what they saw in imported American media, which still had plenty of overt racism in it.

(Which I can't blame you for not doing) Also did you borrow a copy of Chubby Cherub for the photo shoot? It's quite a rare game CIB. Maybe you could hate it for being one of those inexplicably rare games?
