A merry Mode Seven Christmas with Pilotwings

I'd like to kick off the holiday weekend with your next Retronauts Game Chronicles (nΓ©e GameSpite) video: A look back at Nintendo's Pilotwings for Super NES. I've never been any good at this game, and my challenge here was to figure out why. Like any poor craftsman, I've chosen to blame my tools.
Now that my videos will be appearing under the Retronauts banner, I'm going to attempt to get on a one-week advance schedule the same as the podcast. My time is admittedly somewhat constrained during January, as I'm still committed to working full-time with USgamer while I attempt to figure out how I'll be paying my mortgage beyond that, but my goal is to get into a working routine with my video productions. My other goal is to somehow hit the two weekly video funding level here, because I really, really want to be able to justify boosting my retrospective video output. New Year's resolutions, eh? Anyway, enjoy the video, and expect another mid-week, I hope.
(Incidentally, you can celebrate the holiday of your choosing with Mode Seven; I just went with Christmas because it's tomorrow, you see.)

The soundtracks sounds so much like Sim City. Is it the same lady?

2016-12-28 16:19:01 +0000 UTCI really dig the Pilotwings soundtrack and enjoyed Bret Elston's VGMpire episode about the series a little year. I never owned the game but I've seen enough video to see that the tedious landings could become frustrating in a hurry.
