Game Boy World #032: Nemesis

One last video for the month of May! Nemesis is the most enjoyable game I've looked at in a while, and hopefully I make a good case for it.

Unfortunately, it'll be a while before I can post another video. Due to an unexpected death in the family, I'll be out of town for the next 10 days, away from my video capture and audio recording gear. And after that is E3. However, I intend to make use of my production down-time to get ahead on game research and scripts, so with luck I can still put out half a dozen or so videos in June despite my mandatory travels. I also need to write the proper text articles for the 1990 games I've covered so far! I'm still 50 episodes away from my cut-off for Game Boy World 1990 Vol. I, but — and maybe this is crazy talk — I'm earnestly shooting to have that covered by the end of the year. That's about two videos per week, which would totally be doable if my life would just stop being so chaotic and unpredictable...

In the meantime, I've been making good progress on the NES 30th anniversary overhaul of GameSpite Quarterly 5. I'm adding several dozen new games to the book (along with complete indices of all U.S. NES releases), expanding all the existing entries to be more substantial and less glib, and rearranging everything in chronological release order for a tidier, more organized, more valuable resource. It's a huge effort and I have a long, long way to go, but I'm really enjoying it. Please look forward to that in July or August!

Good to you you.mback on the project with such motivation again. I'm enjoying it while it lasts. You seem like you are spinning so many plates at once. You have to be the most prolific games writer out there.

I came to say exactly what Ross said. Take your time - we've got plenty of Game Boy World in the last week and we're all looking forward to more whenever you get them recorded.

Huh. Apparently today is Gradius' 30th anniversary, so please enjoy this unintentional tribute!?

Thank you, I appreciate it.

Sorry to hear about the death in the family mate, please don't feel obligated on our behalf to miss anything important. Do what you gotta do and we'll see you on the other side, we all know you'll keep on keeping on the mammoth tasks you've set youself.
