Anatomy of Metroid Fusion 10, and a change
Added 2015-05-05 02:17:21 +0000 UTCHi everyone, I've written the next entry in The Anatomy of Metroid Fusion. But, going forward, Patreon content will be working a little differently than in the past. From now on, all written content will be posted here in PDF form for you to download and read, remaining Patreon-exclusive for several months, or however long it takes me to compile it into a book, at which point I'll start posting it publicly. There's a simple reason for this change: I really want to show how much I appreciate everyone's support, and I feel like this is the most effective way for me to do so. You all will have a long, long lead on everything I write for these sites (except videos, which will continue to be a couple days' lead). You can download the PDFs from the post's link, or just read them inline. Thanks for your ongoing support, and enjoy!

Well I guess I screwed up, then.

2015-05-05 20:30:25 +0000 UTCThat's a bit of meh…I usually add your articles to my Pocket-account, so I can read them on my phone in bed or while commuting. So when I get your mail and I am at a computer I go to the sucky Patreon-site, add the link to my Pocket-account and read it later. PDFs are not great on phones and only work good on tablets (which I do not really use) or computers (where I do not enjoy to read such content). I don't care about the exclusivity, I just want to support you creating the great content you do. I've never listened for example to a Retronauts-episode before it isn't published on the RSS-feed because it just is too cumbersome even with Huffduffer.

2015-05-05 19:10:50 +0000 UTCI'm a patreon supporter and I'm sure I do not speak for everyone, but I truly and honestly don't care much about exclusivity. I just want to support your work and if doing so means that other, non-supporters get to enjoy it as well, that is all the better... I'd still rather be able to read your articles in my RSS reader and I usually wait until the videos are released on Youtube to view them. Coming to the patreon website to catch these things early is tedious.

2015-05-05 13:27:41 +0000 UTCUnfortunately Patreon doesn't offer an RSS feed, but you should be receiving email notifications of these updates. Are those not coming through?

2015-05-05 11:12:19 +0000 UTCPDF's are great, but the patreon website kind of sucks. there is no rss feed so I always forget to check it, it signs me out constantly and the whole system is a pain to get running on the tablet where I'd want to read the pdfs =\ I can't say I can think of a particularly better way of doing this whilst keeping exclusivity though, something like a shared dropbox folder would be fantastic - just drop a new pdf in there and everyone automatically gets access - but managing who does and does not have access would probably be a huge pain if you want to keep it exclusive.
