Backer bonus: Box scan set 1
Added 2015-03-27 20:51:54 +0000 UTCOne of the main goals of Game Boy World is to create a reference-quality archive of materials for anyone to use. To that end, I've been producing high-resolution scans of all the game boxes. These aren't available to the public yet, and I won't be making them public in a single convenient archive. But I *am* making them available to you, beginning with this file — a complete set of box front scans for all 25 games released in Japan in 1989. I'm sure these aren't exactly something you have daily use for, but I figure some of you may want them simply to file away. If nothing else, it's pretty neat to have the whole collection in such high resolution — there are a lot of details on these tiny Japanese boxes that really pop in these scans. More to come!

2015-03-28 00:08:32 +0000 UTCYeah, these are indeed quite nice. Thanks again. If I may ask, do you have any concrete plans for this stuff going forward? Ie., providing cartridge scans or scanning the box backs, which are *much* more difficult to find online? or expanding to the US releases?

2015-03-27 23:53:57 +0000 UTCYeah, it's the icon at the top of the page that looks like a page of paper and says "zip." Not very intuitive, I realize... that's Patreon.

2015-03-27 23:42:55 +0000 UTCMan, this is fantastic. Thanks! I'm a big fan of properly archiving old stuff like this, both from a general historical perspective as well as for displaying my own personal collection in the best quality. It's hard to find good quality, original (ie., not custom or modified) Game Boy game cover scans, so this is welcome news. Btw, I'm having trouble finding the download link in this post. Probably a n00b mistake, but can you point me in the right direction? Thanks.
