I'm willing to accept that they are incorruptable. It's not so far fetched given where they come from and their upbringing. But are they just being used as extra combatants against demons, when the opportunity comes up, or are they actually going around, serving as guards and aiding in investigations? The monastics seem like prime targets for abduction by the demons. They know the most about what happened in the monastery, and can be interrogated on that. Could the monastics hold out against torture, if it comes to that? Or are they simply too hard to capture alive? All it takes is one monastic cracking, for the secret to get out. At least for Aurelia, her beast form barely feels pain, so that feature might help the monastics, if they need it. Pretty bold for Lucian to declare 'I did nothing wrong'. But I suppose he got it right the first time. As long as he continues to prove himself useful, just about any past behavior can be buried.
