Stability AI has done it again and is showing off a preview of Stable Diffusion 3. SD3 is an entirely new model built on top of a new transformer architecture. This provides higher quality, faster training, and most of all, top-notch prompt following and adherence. Today we take a look at the stable diffusion 3 examples and see how they stack up to SDXL, Dall-E 3, Midjourney V6, and even Stable Cascade.

I have a bit of an off-topic question, but since I can't find the private Patreon Discord info I'm just pushing it out here (And maybe it's something for a new post?). I'm wondering about hardware. I have an RTX 3080 now with 12GB VRAM, and 32GB memory. I feel like I'm lagging behind. I wonder if I should invest in a new (gaming) PC with the 4090 and 64gb. Upgrading is not really an option since I need to replace everything and I'm a total n00b. However that's not the question. The question is; Is this the right time for upgrading hardware, or do we need to wait for next-gen graphic cards or even AI specific hardware?
