Important Update on Billing system and Tiers of my Patreon!

Big news are here! I'm full of stress and excitement, so here we are!

Per Creation No More!

I wanted to let you know that my Patreon blog billing system will be updated from "per creation" model to "per month" model in about a 1.5 months (should be live on 1-st of November)

I decided to make this change right now because sooner or later it will be mandatory for anyone anyway! But the good news is - I've been thinking about this change for a while. I didn't really liked "per creation" model after a few years of using it - it's not that transparent, you can't use Patreon features like annual subscription or discounts, and it's flawed on fraud side. It's heartbreaking how many people subscribe to a blog, download what they want, then leave a few hours later without any amount of payment.

So, even though I'll lose a decent amount of money, I think it's a great way to move forward.

What that means, in short:

• No more paid posts per month. Only transparent fixed amount of payment per month, by your tier.

• Quality and quantity of my posted work won't change!

• You don't need to do anything if you want to stay on your current tier.

• You will not be charged more in any case! Your charge will stay the same!

• Tiers will be slightly changed (more below), but your monthly expanse wil be the same. You'll stay on your tier and will pay the same amount you're paying now, even with monthly limit!

Upcoming November Tier Changes

Current tier prices are created with "per creation" model in mind. Each month you'll get 4 creations, and with monthly limit you can support from 1 to 4 creations per month.

I decided not to raise prices four times, though the amount of content will be at least the same. But I have a big archive of maps, settlement paintings and icons, so I felt that changes are needed anyway.

Please note that your tier and the amount of payment you are paying right now will not change in any case, even after transition and with any monthly limit!

By the end of October 2024, Tier's benefits and prices will be changed this way:

• Adventurer - 4 USD/month. Perfect tier to get a lot of maps!
  Full collection access as it is now, excluding Map Packs and Icon Megapack. Individual items and icon packs will be available! Patreon Polls.

• Master - 6 USD/month. Main Tier! Learn about my process and get some bonuses.
  Additional Versions. Early Access to my Videos, exclusive videos. + Organized Map packs and Icons Megapack + extended WIP posts

• Creator - 10 USD/month. Study with me and learn about my creative journey
  Creative Post series with full paintings demos, PSDs, tips and tricks. Your name at the end of my painting videos. +Insight into my personal art journey, into learning art and design.

• Supporter - 10 USD/month - this tier will be unpublished but still active. If you are on this tier, you will get the same benefits as you are getting right now!

• Architect - 15 USD/month. If you want to support me greatly! Your name at my website and gentle critique of your art piece once per month!

Just to be clear, after the transition to "per month" model all of the prices will be multiplied by 2 BUT I'll modify them to ones that you'll see here asap. Again, in any case, nothing will change for you - your tier will be the same and your payment will be the same as it is right now, with monthly limit too.

Blog Philosophy Updated

Few words on my slightly updated blog concept.

I want to focus on my creative process, bring a bit of my character into my posts and communicate with you, and not to be a digital shop manager. You can already see it in my recent posts for your tiers, and there will be more.

My blog won't be only about a pretty landscapes, it would be about creating pretty landscapes too, even if you are not an artist. I'll focus on my communication with Masters and Creators and higher tiers. I'm going to share more "me" in my posts, my way of thinking, my work process, my hopes and fears.

Though it won't hurt my regular flow a bit! If you just want to get access to my collection without any additional posts - sure, you can still easily do it! "Adventurer" Tier is just about that!

Conclusion

I really hope that you'll like and appreciate new transparent billing method, updated tiers and new benefits for them. It's a really risky step for me and my blog that I'm willing to take.
