“Well,” Kirina said, “I’m trying to separate myself from my K-pop past, so I wasn’t planning on singing anything in Korean. Just English.”
“It’s okay if you do,” James replied. “I just wanted to ask.”
“I know the festival is different,” Krina replied, “than a show I do for fans. My fans who knew about me back in K-pop sometimes request songs. This will be different. And I’ll just do some covers people will recognize at first, then a few of my solo songs.”
“That sounds great,” James said. “You can call Tia, now. She’s expecting to hear from you, but I wanted to make this call. I… must confess, I have from time to time listened to some of your music when you were with Black Thrice.”
Kirina shook her head and smiled. “Well, I wasn’t expecting to hear that. Thanks. I’ll call Tia immediately.”
“Sounds good,” James replied. “I’m looking forward to hearing you, and, yes… I’ll stay up for the 2 a.m to 3 a.m. time slot. I doubt I’ll be getting much sleep that weekend!”
“I look forward to meeting you,” Kirna replied.
