Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer (Revised)
Added 2020-04-14 21:35:57 +0000 UTCHere's the simple revision I've been working on for the Cosmic Dragons project! Aside from the obvious inclusion of Cosmic Dragon options, I've tweaked a bit of the flavor text (and added some where there was none—looking at you, 6th-Level feature), and made a couple small changes as below:
- 1) (Optional) Origin Spells - These are SRD-only options, so unfortunately no Dragon's Breath.
- 2) Learn a language of your choice if you already know Draconic - Why should Dragonborn be punished for being the most thematic option for the subclass?
- 3) Slight buff to situational proficiency when interacting with dragons - Instead of only doubling your prof. bonus when you're already proficient, you get to add your prof. bonus even when you're not proficient (and it's still doubled if you are already proficient in that skill).
- 4) Permanent resistance at 6th level - This is pretty standard.
- 5) Capstone (Level 18 feature) overhaul - Permanent immunity to your damage type. Aura made 1/Short Rest (no Sorcery Point cost), Fear only (no Charm option), frightened targets make repeating saves to end it each round instead of automatically being frightened for the duration of your concentration (and aura made non-concentration). In essence...made to actually be more like dragons' Frightful Presence and less like a spell.
