End of July Update!

If there's one thing to take away from this update, it's this: Sincerely, thank you for your support. I cannot say that enough. You folks here make this all happen and help keep everything going. So thank you, thank you.

The Gauntlet

It's been too long since a solid update to The Gauntlet, so I'm letting you all know here first, The Gauntlet: Beta (v2) will be released Friday, August 9th and will include a couple tweaks based on feedback, some new layout design, and 4 new optional rules to implement, as well as updated and additional Pregenerated Arenas to include some of the monsters I've brewed (below).

We've had some great feedback through the Discord server and have even run a couple games with members there, which has been incredibly fun! Reminder that all Exalted Champion and Arena Master: Sage patrons are entitled to one free Arena session per month for you/your group, run by me (or with me if you want to run the monsters!).

Character Options

The homebrew train is chugging right along. Nearly 60 pages of content is now available in the Heroes of the Gauntlet Compendium. Here's an overview:

Final Words and Upcoming Goals

I know polls are fun and really help this all feel more like an interactive community, and also give you a say in the content you get! I'm making it a priority to do those more often. :D

Longer term goals are continuing: create the highest quality, most comprehensive D&D supplement book around, including tons of new, balanced character options, monsters, and magic items, as well as the definitive 5th Edition Arena Combat System, and even a short adventure (or two).

Short term goal #1: Getting the YouTube channel up and running as a place to host The Gauntlet arena runs as well as homebrew review and tips. Short term goal #2: Driving more content and activity on r/TheGauntletArena subreddit. Admittedly it's been very quiet lately while I've been focusing on creating new character options, but I'm considering starting to use that as a place where people can also submit their homebrew (races/subclasses/monsters) to be utilized in the Arena (and maybe included to be published?). More on that to come.
