I just wanted to say, as a mental health counselor, I think your content is fantastic. You have a wonderful way of talking about serious subject matter, from a personal perspective, in a way that is relatable to others. Well done. Glad to be part of the Patreon.

I was trying to become a nurse for a time until I was hit with a question, " what would be the case if you ever found yourself liable for someone else's health??" At the time I was unable to work a full shift at a car wash and I taking responsibility as steward not only for my health but, also, for others I backed out of school. I'm journeying into what I want for my life I have found a passion to read and write, telling jokes, singing, speaking in front of others and what I have found is there is other ways to take care of my loved ones and others other than the medical field. I love to give and I suffer from mistakes that took minutes to commit. Therefore, my philosophy is: A lifetime of suffering can only counteracted by a lifetime of giving. It took years for me to ground myself physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually and what better way to live by to a sum is: Love God with all your mind, body and soul and strength; Love others yourself. Not only do I show myself genuine in mental health but also the Christian Faith. I stand for many things however where they all connect that I may not waver this way or the other is that definition of, " Love." I'm quite happy where I'm at because I'm doing everything I ever dreamed of however is there more? Yes, here and now, God willing, I get to continue!! Blessings!!

It is so good to get answers from someone with the perspective of the understanding that you get from experiencing the illness. So well though out and empathetic. thanks

Hi white lord, this will be my last response to you as this is quite frustrating. I have been in mental health research for almost 9 years and can tell you that yes, horrible things have happened in research that have violated the patient's rights. However, researchers have learned from this and some people have been punished for their criminal behavior. Patients and participants rights are much more protected nowadays. Participants are adequately informed that there is a 50/50 chance of receiving a placebo in randomized trials. If you know of any studies that are pulling the wool over their participants' eyes please feel free to report them as they should be adequately penalized. However, I can assure you that the research process is much stricter nowadays and there are rules/laws in place to protect patient/participant rights.

I will continue my protocol to keep Schizophrenia at bay, actually it helps to eliminate it completely, and it is not what has been suggested in those books, though what has been suggested might be worth a try. We are guinea pigs for psychiatrists. Why not be our own guinea pigs? If I remain symptom free for a year I will share my method here.

This is for you Andre and Angelica. The book is world without cancer page 217, though I recommend you skim through it completely to understand that meta analysis is a joke. I might be wrong but when people say they have found the 'right' antipsychotic what is probably happening is that they are receiving nothing at all, or maybe just somethhing simple like lorazepam and that is why they don't have side effects. I confirmed this from a psychologist and he said it is very much possible. DMSO doctor's handbook, Niacin the real story and fire your doctor. You can read the parts of these books concerned with mental illnesses, maybe they will help you.

It is shocking to learn that, under the code of ethics followed by the FDA and the medical profession it now controls, it is not necessary to advise
a patient that he or she is being experimented upon. This is an ominous fact, not only in regard to the patient who is receiving the experimental drug, but also to the patient who expects medical help but who is placed into the control" group and, thus, receives placebos—no help at all. Robert N. Veatch, a specialist in medical ethics, told a Senate Health Subcommittee in 1973 that, in just one typical research project, ninety-one-children acting as
controls in a study of treatment for asthma "received ineffective treatment for periods lasting upto fourteen years." He confirmed also that "no mother or child in the study knew any sort of study was underway." 1 As of 1970, there were over 100,000 cancer patients who had been used in experiments without .either their knowledge or consent.

My definition of success throughout my life hasn't really changed much. I define a success in life by having a stable long term romantic relationship and a fulfilling career and anything over that is just a bonus. I'm still working on those things but fulfillment in a career has changed from just being a high paying field to being both well paying and giving back to society in some way. This is why I've switched from trying to be a chemical engineer to trying to get into the medical field.

While there is a potential for alternative treatments or adjunctive non-pharmaceutical treatments in the future, the fact is they require rigorous research using placebo controls in double-blind randomized trials. However, no one should discount the possibility of scientifically backed alternative treatments.

I will likely not be able to sway your opinion White Lord instead you will likely dig in your heels and double down. The trouble with alternative medicine is it's the wild west of pharmaceuticals or nothing more than a placebo. Unless a group of psychiatric scientists did a rigorous peer reviewed meta analysis (study of studies) over decades of said substance, it's impossible to draw any conclusions. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

But that's just my opinion. I just hope everyone gets to live the life that they want to and more importantly deserve to.
