How I Make My Audios (Behind the Scenes)

Hi everyone! Since I've been asked a few times about the writing/recording/editing process, I wanted to make a little video showing how I make my audios. I hope you all had a good weekend! 💗

Comments

Thank you for the behind the scenes. I appreciate what you do. You obviously have great deal of passion for what you do and it comes through in your audios. Keep up the great work!

Semblance of Life

Love seeing how you work! I have a tip to make it easier to edit out mistakes: every time I mess up, I make a sound with my mouth like a "tsk" or a loud high-pitched "ooh" so it appears as a long line, so then when I look at my audio I know exactly where the mistakes are and I can edit so much quicker and don't need to re-listen to everything as I edit. Also there is a "de-esser- plug in you can add to Audacity to soften the "s" sounds!

Angel

I always wondered about your sound effects, and the fact that you use background ambience to make your audio more immersive. And I like how the scripts (conversation-wise) tend to predict potential answers the listener may give, it feels even more immersive (and surprises me more times than I can count lol). Anyway, we appreciate your effort 🫶

samszellem

Oh no! Immersion broken! Jk wow I can’t believe it takes that many hours for each audio. I think I would go insane editing something for 8 hrs. That’s dedication, you must really enjoy what you do!

Jim

Thank you for sharing this with us 🙏 I appreciate you even more because I would be to lazy for all of this 😅 You’re amazing thank you for everything ❤️

wavygravy

You write your scripts? I am amazed that one person writes the scripts and performs because, the scripts are brilliant and your performance stands out as the best in the field.

Les Butler

I've also been using Audacity for my own podcast. Your microphones are much better than mine, though

Triple 9

Thank you for this! The insight is really helpful in understanding just how much effort goes into even one of these. You are truly an artist 🤙🏽

Tae Davis

Could you make a video on how you do your meet and greets with long time fans? I would happily volunteer to help you make it 🤪

Simon R.

this is so interesting!! i’ve always appreciated the attention to detail in your audios :)

alec

This was really interesting! Thanks! (And I'm sure the Goth Babysitter will find this information very useful in starting her own career as a VA! 😄)

Urban Hermit

This was really nice, it’s cool to see your creative process. I love your input into character design and it’s interesting to see how you write your scripts without listener response. Hope you’re having a lovely day 😁😁

Jake

Vegard

I love the fact that you make the "s" softer it's by far the best aspect of your videos and your voice that sweet little gentle SS when finsh saying a word is absolutely adorable Love your content btw Also when is the face reveal I mean we already have the Shadow so the next step has to come soon right?
