February Ramble 💗

Hi guys! Here's a little ramble talking about what I'm up to lately, self care, pets, clothes, a book I'm reading, etc.! Sending love!

I say get a cat but like also i have 4 of them. FOUR. They are cute fluffy destructive little things.

My best friend has done that earthing thing for as long as I've known him, he just hates shoes though lol. Well and lately he's convinced shoes are horrible for you because it destroys your arches and makes our feet weaker overall. If you do get a pet, you better share loads of pictures with us!

Seems like commitment issues is the theme of this month's ramble. Things you couldn't commit to in this audio: getting a pet, buying clothes, watching all of Sliding Doors.

1. Dogs > cats. And Simon brought up some good points. I like cats but I always tell my friends cats are little murder machines. 2. The only thing you're gonna get from "Earthing" is calloused feet. It's been around for like a decade (as far as I recall) and any studies showing positive results are, at best unreliable, often cherry picking data

I always walk around barefoot. I live on about 30 acres in the woods, so I walk around outside with the dogs, cats, and horses completely barefoot all that time. Feels great

Ok since the topic of cats came up, I have to be the asshat in this comment section: Do not get a pet cat, or if you do, don’t let it go outside. House cats are responsible for the second most species going extinct in the last decades bested only by us humans. They kill so many little animals outside and the population of cats is so unregulated because of the domestication that this has become a huge problem worldwide. And no this is not just because I hate cats (which I do) but this is actually a big thing to consider when getting a cat and while a lot of cat enthusiasts hate me for bringing it up, it doesn’t take a lot of effort to look these things up, but unfortunately little people do before getting one. Kind of not the first problem that comes to mind when thinking about if one should get a pet, but at least worth considering nonetheless in my opinion. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cat_predation_on_wildlife This may be a starting point for research even if Wikipedia obviously isn’t the most popular source.
