The number of shark attacks Worldwide in 2020 were (57 total) - the year before was (64 total).... The number of people bitten by a human in the entire US per year is an estimated "250,000"... NY was just singled out in that statistic - when its just an incomplete statement apart of a larger fact that people are SO MUCH more likely to be bitten by another human being than a shark... The complete statistic is a person is up to 4386% more likely to be bitten by a human in the united states ALONE than sharks worldwide. Basically all states are super dangerous, not just NY - especially the more populated ones... However humans pale in comparison to dogs who average 4.5 million bites in the US ALONE every year....
