2024-09-17 03:30:24 +0000 UTCBelieve it or not, your question about Sam and Dean not sleeping comfortably has been asked and answered. It's not a manly thing, it's deliberate. They sleep above the covers and in clothes so they are ready at a moment's notice.

2024-09-17 01:05:42 +0000 UTCWith clones, it's not just about them having a heart, it's mainly about programming. You saw how Rex could not go against it no matter how hard he tried. It's exceedingly rare for a clone to go against orders because of the inhibitor chip. But, organic beings are harder to program compared to mechanical or synthetics, so the failure rate of the programming has to be a bit higher than a droid going rogue or something like that. Clones are people and they have consciences which, I'd assume, would influence them in ones where the chip is less effective (like how the chip was less effective on Bad Batchers).

2024-09-13 04:03:23 +0000 UTCIt could be that or it's just that it's programming of organic beings so it's not going to be 100% effective. I believe Nala Se said something to that effect. There's always going to be a small percentage that it doesn't work on completely and also, given time and more experiences, they might be able to reason their way out of it, if it was less effective on them.

2024-09-13 00:24:38 +0000 UTCAlso, in the game, Henry said, "This is all your fault!" while holding the gun on Joel, so it seems like he blames Joel, but the last thing he says is "Henry, this is all your fault!" It's heartbreaking that he killed himself 'cause he had nothing left AND he blamed himself for it all.

2024-09-12 09:16:17 +0000 UTCIn The Last of Us game, this was a gut-punch also. I played the game through, at least, 4x and I tried so many times to prevent it, but had to come to terms with that's the narrative. That's just how the story unfolds, but it didn't make it easier. Sam, in the game, was a little older and he wasn't deaf. He was still younger than Ellie, but it he was older than 8. I saw that they hired the actor to play him and because he's deaf, they had an ASL coach on set and the guy playing Henry actually learned it so he could both seem comfortable with it and to just speak with "Sam" in general. Then everyone on set (cast and crew) learned to, at least, understand ASL so they could understand them, but most people learned it so they could just speak to and understand the kid. I thought that was cool.

2024-09-12 09:13:09 +0000 UTCI do wonder how Captain Howzer can think independently with the inhibitor chip in his head. My theory is that the inhibitor wears off over time allowing the clones original personality to come back. Also a bunch of his soldiers agreed with him at the end so it's not just him defying orders.
